Cleaning the Tea and Lemonade Urns

NIGHTLY CLEANING

  • The dispensing spout should be disassembled into 3 pieces
  • Soak the 3 pieces in sanitized water
  • Use a stiff cleaning brush to clean the inside of the spout parts
  • The dispensing spout must be disassembled, cleaned, and sanitized on a daily basis
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize the interior and exterior of the urn
  • Reassemble the dispensing spout. Leave in the open position while air drying to allow all water to drain.

WEEKLY CLEANING

  • Every Sunday night, clean all urns with Filter Pouch Cleaner
  • Place one Filter Pouch Cleaner into the tea basket
  • Slide the basket into place on the brewing machine
  • Place the urn under the brew basket
  • Press the TEA or LEMONADE button and brew hot water into the urn
  • Allow the solution to remain in the urn for a minimum of 10 minutes
  • Use the cleaning brush to swirl the mixture inside the urn
  • Drain the mixture, and thoroughly rinse and sanitize the urn(s)
  • Leave the dispensing spout in the open position while air drying to allow all water to drain
