Grill Timer Programming - Group A
Alignment
- Channels 1 through 4 on the left grill timer are used when cooking hamburger patties
- Total cook time is 2 ½ minutes
- The duty timer (TURN) will sound after 1 minute 15 seconds
- The final timer will sound after an additional minute 15 seconds
- After the final timer sounds, turn the patties again and cook until the juices are clear to ensure they are done
- Channel 5 & 6 on the left grill timer is used when cooking brats
- Total cook time is 14 minutes
- The duty timer (Roll) will sound after 7 minutes
- The final timer will sound after an additional minute 7 minutes
- After the final timer sounds, remove brats and temp
- Channel 7 on the left grill timer is used when cooking green beans
- Total cook time is 20 minutes
- After 10-minute timer sounds, stir green beans, replace lid and set the 10-minute timer again
- Channel 8 on the left grill timer will be used as our “Store Quality” timer
- Program the timer to sound every 15 minutes
- This will be a reminder to stir all products online, check hold times, product quality, customer view areas and par levels
- Channels 1, 2, 3, & 4 on the right grill timer are used when cooking sausage patties, bacon or smoked sausage
- Total cook time is 7 minutes
- The duty timer (TURN) will sound after 3 ½ minutes
- Channel 5 & 6 on the right grill channel is used when cooking ham
- Total cook time is 3 minutes
- The duty timer TURN will sound after 1 ½ minutes
- Channels 7 and 8 on the right grill timer are used when cooking grilled chicken.
- Total cook time is 9 minutes.
- The duty timer (TURN) will sound after 5 minutes.
Programming Grill Timers
1. To program, press and hold the PRINCE CASTLE LOGO for eight seconds. A beep will sound and the CHANNEL/FUNCTION DISPLAY will read SEL CH / LOGO = QUIT.
2. Select and press TIMER 1. The LED indicator for timer 1 will turn yellow and a beep will sound. The CHANNEL/FUNCTION display will read, CKT=COOK TIME with up and down arrows. The current complete cook time for that channel will be displayed in the TIME display, and the time value will indicate either H:M OR M:S (HOURS & MINUTES – MINUTES & SECONDS)
3. Using the SCAN/UP Arrow or the SCAN/DOWN Arrow buttons, set the time at 6:00 minutes. Press the ENTER button to store the complete cook time. Note: The Enter button must be pressed after any time changes in the cook; duty or hold functions or the time change will not be stored.
IMPORTANT: To change from Minutes and Seconds M:S to Hours and Minutes H:M. Press and hold the SCAN/UP Button. When the display reaches 59:59 it will automatically change to 1:00 hour and the LED will switch from M:S to H:M. The program value for the H:M indicator is from 1:00 hour to 17 hours: 59 minutes.
4. Once you press ENTER, The CHANNEL/FUNCTION display switches to CKC=MAN CANCEL, this allows you to select a manual or an automatic alarm cancel, press the SCAN UP arrow or SCAN DOWN arrow to toggle between AUT and MAN Cancel. Press the ENTER button to store your selection.
IMPORTANT: Always select manual cancel. This will require someone to press the timer to stop the beeping when the timer sounds.
5. After you press ENTER, the CHANNEL/FUNCTION display will change to CKL=REMOVE. Using the SCAN UP or SCAN DOWN arrows, Scroll to SIDE 2 Press ENTER to store the selection.
The function name (SIDE 2) will be displayed during the final countdown sequence.
6. To set the DUTY time press CHANNEL BUTTON 1 once. The CHANNEL/FUNCTION display will read, D1T=DUTY 1 TIME with up and down arrows. The current duty time for that channel will be displayed in the TIME display
7. Using the SCAN/UP Arrow or the SCAN/DOWN Arrow buttons, set the duty time at 3:00 minutes. Press the ENTER button to store the duty time. Note: The ENTER button must be pressed after any time changes in the cook, duty, or hold functions or the time change will not be stored.
8. Press the CHANNEL BUTTON 1 again; use the SCAN UP arrow or SCAN DOWN arrow to select MAN Cancel. Press the ENTER button to store your selection.
9. Press the CHANNEL BUTTON 1 again; use the SCAN UP arrow or SCAN DOWN arrow to select “TURN” from the list of function names. This name “TURN” will be displayed during the first part of the cook cycle, and when the duty time flashes and beeps. Press the ENTER button to store your selection.
10. Press the CHANNEL BUTTON 1 again; set the duty 2-time. Press ENTER.
Press the CHANNEL BUTTON 1 again; set the duty 3-time. Press ENTER.
Press the CHANNEL BUTTON 1 again, set the hold time. Press ENTER.
Press the CHANNEL BUTTON 1 again, set the hold alarm time. Press ENTER.
11. Press the CHANNEL BUTTONS 2-8 and complete steps 2 through 8 to program the remaining channels. (See page 5 for programming the “COOK” and “DUTY” times for these channels.)
12. Press the PRINCE CASTLE LOGO to exit programming mode.
Volume Adjustment
You can change the sound level of the alarm in RUN MODE. Press and hold the PRINCE CASTLE LOGO; then, within six seconds, press either the SCAN UP Arrow button or the SCAN DOWN Arrow button. The SCAN UP Arrow button adjusts the sound level to the louder alarm, and the SCAN DOWN Arrow button adjusts the sound level to the lower alarm.
Operations
1. Press a channel button to activate a timing cycle. (All channels can be activated and running at the same time.) The channel with the least amount of function time remaining will be displayed in the CHANNEL/FUNCTION display along with the next function. The time remaining will countdown in the TIME display, and the time value M:S or H:M will be illuminated.
2. Press the desired channel button three times within five seconds to cancel an active timing cycle.
IMPORTANT: The channel timer buttons multicolored LED indicator shows the status of the timer. The indicator has three colors: green, yellow, and red. The LED will be green during the first 70% of the countdown. It changes to yellow during the next 20% of the countdown. It will be red during the final 10% of the countdown and will start flashing red once the time has run out.
Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners on your timer. Note: If a Manual Cancel is programmed into a duty function, the LED will flash red until the channel button has been pressed. If an Auto-Matic Cancel is programmed, the LED will flash green for 5 seconds and the alarm will automatically turn off.
IMPORTANT: Always select manual cancel. This will require someone to press the timer to stop the beeping when the timer sounds.
3. The timer will countdown from the programmed value to zero. When the complete cooked time is finished, the display flashes 0:00 and the alarm sounds.
4. When the timing cycle is complete, and the alarm sounds, press the channel button with the flashing red indicator to cancel the alarm.
5. The scan feature is used to check the time values on other active channels. There are two different ways to scan active channels. Press the SCAN/UP or SCAN/DOWN button or press any of the active timer CHANNEL buttons. If no other button is pressed within 5 seconds, the display will change to show the timer with the least amount of time left.
Cleaning
Do not allow grease to build up on the timer. Wipe it down daily with a clean damp cloth.
IMPORTANT: Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners on your timer. This may cause damage to the overlay.
Programming Display Timer -Roundup
1. To program, press and hold the channel number you want to program. Hold for three seconds. The letters PGM will appear in the display area above the channel number you selected. This means that the timer is in PROGRAM MODE.
2. A TIME STAGE NAME will flash in the TIME STAGE AREA. Use the up and down arrows to choose STAGE ONE, then press ENTER.
3. The TIME DISPLAY will show the selected TIME STAGE NAME. Use the up and down buttons to set the desired time to 0 hours, then press the ENTER button. After that, set your desired time to 26 minutes and 0 seconds. Press ENTER after each entry. TO CLEAR THE TIME TO 00:00:00, PRESS AND RELEASE THE UP AND DOWN ARROWS TOGETHER.
4. Use the up and down arrow keys to select Stage 2.
5. CHANNEL 1, STAGE 2 will be set to 30 minutes.
6. Follow the same procedures to set CHANNEL 2 to 1 hour and 14 minutes.
7. CHANNEL 2, STAGE 2 will be set to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
8. CHANNELS 3 and 4 must be set to 26 ½ minutes.
9. STAGE 2 for CHANNELS 3 AND 4 will be set to 30 minutes.
IMPORTANT: The timer will exit the program mode in 10 seconds if a button is not pressed.
When finished, wait 10 seconds for the timer to exit programming mode.
10. Press, then release CHANNEL 1. The timer will start to countdown.
11. All of the channels can be timing at the same time. The timer will display the time for the channel you last selected.
12. The timer will sound twice per second for two minutes, until the channel button is pressed.
13. When one timing cycle is finished and the channel button is pressed, the display will show the next channel to finish.
IMPORTANT: Do not block the Solar Cells located at the top and front of the timer. If these cells are blocked the timer will not function properly.
